Vent-Axia’s new NBR High Pressure Axial Fan

Vent-Axia’s new NBR High Pressure Axial Fan

Designed for new build residential properties, the new NBR High Pressure Axial Fan range from Vent-Axia offers high extraction rates combined with low energy use and exceptionally quiet running of as low as 22 dB(A).

This high-powered intermittent extract fan performs under pressure thanks to its high-pressure aerodynamic impeller design, providing housebuilders with a good solution for being System 1 Compliant from Approved Document F.

Offering a stylish appearance, the NBR family enables developers to opt for an axial fan rather than a centrifugal fan thanks to its high-pressure performance that allows longer ducting. With three sizes of fan to choose from, with 100mm, 125mm or 150mm, and a range of control options including Basic, Timer, Humidistat and PIR (100mm only), specification is made simple. Housebuilders can use the NBR range across a development in bathrooms and kitchens, ensuring that a consistent look can be maintained across sites while their installers can save time on site by avoiding having to figure out how to install different fans.

“For housebuilders the new NBR High Pressure Axial Fan range offers a stylish solution with high-pressure capabilities – meaning more duct for the same fan. Added to that the fan’s highly efficient AC motor means the range can achieve energy efficient and quiet ventilation with a specific fan power (sfp) of 0.33 W/l/s”, explains Tom Wodcke, Product Manager at Vent-Axia. “This new range should prove popular with housebuilders, installers and households alike. Simple to install and crammed full of great features, the fans have very low sound levels and are cost effective to run. And we’re so confident in it; we’ve given it a five-year-warranty.”

Designed for where longer duct runs are needed, the fans still achieve airflow levels required by Building Regulations. For example, the 100mm NBR High Pressure Axial Fan can withstand 25Pa backpressure while still achieving the 15l/s Building Regulations’ requirement for a bathroom. The fan also comes with a long-life ball bearing motor and a silent back draft shutter preventing air travelling back up the duct and into the room.

In addition, the NBR range makes install easier thanks to an inbuilt spirit level for positioning and a wiring compartment plus a larger terminal block both to make wiring simpler. Its IP45-rating and its suitability for window, ceiling or wall mounting all adds to install flexibility.

Offering quiet effective ventilation households will benefit from improved indoor air quality (IAQ), improved comfort and a bathroom free from condensation and mould without having to put up with the annoying drone associated with many bathroom fans.

The casing and impeller are made of durable high-quality UV-resistant plastic, which helps to prevent degradation and discoloration of the plastic over time. Featuring an open front grille design, this stylish fan matches well with any modern interior.
