It’s official – the housebuilding team at a development in Royston are the very best at what they do.
Almost every homebuyer who have bought new homes at Linden Homes’ Meridian Gate development in the past two years have given the team 100 per cent scores in the Home Builders Federation customer satisfaction surveys.
Linden Homes – part of the Vistry group – is delivering 343 homes, 149 of which will be affordable housing for rent or shared ownership, on a three-phase build at Meridian Gate.
Senior site manager Robert May said: “This is brilliant news for me and my team. These sorts of scores and feedback are exactly what we in our job aspire to and dream about.
“To be honest, our job is made easier by the fact that Linden Homes build houses of real character and quality so that always gives us a head start.
“What we strive to do every day is to build on that and make sure that the housebuying experience is as perfect as it can be for every customer.
“The assistant site manager Mark and I have been on this site from day one when work began in October 2018 and it’s very personal to us. What also makes our job easier is that the whole team on site – the sales team, the builders and the sub-contractors – buy into the ethos that we want to do our best every day. It’s a real team effort.”
The HBF customer satisfaction survey is a national independent questionnaire provided to purchasers of new-build homes.
Assistant site manager Mark Turner said: “A home is usually the most expensive and significant investment people will make in their lives. So, we want to do all in our power to ensure that is a positive and enjoyable experience.
“There are people who moved in 18 months or so ago and they have become almost like friends. We see them as we walk about the site and we always stop to chat.
“The relationship we want is that anyone can see us on site and stop us to chat or to tell us about any problems they may be having. We want everyone to know we are here for them if they need us.”
Linden Homes has built and sold all but one of the 83 homes in phase one at Meridian Gate and is delivering 108 homes in phase two.
Phase three will comprise a further 152 homes, with a care home to be built as part of the construction work in the third phase.

There are three, four and five-bedroom houses currently available at Meridian Gate with prices starting at £409,995.
