Key appointments for award-winning housebuilder

Hayfield has strengthened its production team with the appointment of three experienced Contract Managers.

David Naish, Kevin Schwaben and Sam Baker each bring a decade of construction industry expertise to the business, with the trio set to oversee developments across middle England.

Fast-growing Hayfield, WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year and a RoSPA Gold Award winner for Health & Safety, is on track to deliver 350 new homes this year and increase turnover to £150m. Hayfield is currently on site at nine developments across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Wiltshire, and Worcestershire.

Production Director Liam Gilbert said: “As our business continues to grow it is essential that we have the right people in key roles who are able to help deliver our ambitions, maintain our high health and safety standards and support our operational site teams.

“David, Kevin and Sam each have a wealth of experience, and their appointments will be pivotal to ensuring our — production team meet the exacting standards expected by our customers.”

David Naish joins form Bloor Homes, where he was Contract Manager for two years. He began his career as an Assistant Site Manager with Bovis and moves to other volume housebuilders followed where he gained insight and experience in a variety of roles.

David said: “I am so pleased to have joined Hayfield and am very much looking forward to being part of a company where such high health and safety values are embraced as standard.”

Kevin Schwaben was a Senior Project Manager at Lucy Developments before joining Hayfield, having previously worked for Crest, Redrow, L&G and CALA.

Kevin said: “I have a proven history of on-time, on-budget and high-quality project completions, and am thrilled to join Hayfield where I am committed to adding value to existing and future developments.”

Sam Baker has also worked for a number of leading housebuilders including Taylor Wimpey and most recently CALA where he was Contracts Manager.

Sam commented: “I am delighted to join Hayfield and look forward to supporting the team in achieving the very best build quality while enhancing good-working relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors.”

All new Hayfield homes are zero carbon ready and exceed the Government’s Future Homes Standard — which will be mandatory from 2025 — and include innovative solutions installed as standard, such as air source heat pumps, increased insulation, water efficiency measures and electric vehicle charge points. Hayfield is committed to being a sustainable developer and has pledged to be net zero by 2030.
