Bellway has announced that building work has begun on a new 98 home housing development in the village of Warton.
Bellway is building the new homes at Cornfields, a development of 98 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes. The company purchased the land in November 2018.
As part of the planning agreement the housebuilder will be investing in the local area, including £52,000 towards the village school, £460,000 for secondary education, £125,000 towards recreation and £21,000 towards Polesworth and Dordon Group Practice.
The development will include 40 per cent affordable housing for local people and key workers.
Carolyne Watkinson, Sales Director for Bellway East Midlands, said: “Building work has begun on the new homes at Cornfields, which will provide much-needed housing in this part of North Warwickshire. This development will offer a range of homes to suit buyers at all stages of the property ladder. Warton is a fantastic village, which offers buyers the peace and quiet of a countryside location, yet with a well-regarded school, pub and post office close by. The development is also just over five miles from Tamworth and commuters will benefit from its strong links to Nottingham, Birmingham and Burton.”
With construction work now underway, the first homes will be available to buy when the sales office opens in mid-October.
