New homes development in Wimborne now open

A new housing development which showcases a brand-new range of home designs has been opened to the public in Wimborne.

Bellway Wessex is building 84 new homes at Badbury Reach, off Cranborne Road, with 60 of these houses part of Bellway’s innovative Artisan Collection – the first time these property types have been available within the Wessex area.

Badbury Reach, which will also include 24 homes designated as affordable housing for local people, is part of a wider new neighbourhood of 630 homes being built as part of a consortium with Bloor Homes.

The Bellway development is located next to the new Wimborne First School site, which is being delivered as part of the wider development and which is due to open later this year, when the school moves from its existing home in the town centre.

The Artisan Collection is a new range of housetypes, created through two years of development and decades of customer input. Currently they are only available at a limited selection of Bellway developments across the UK.

Kim Caldwell, Sales Director for Bellway Wessex, said: “The two, three and four-bedroom houses at Badbury Reach are the first Artisan Collection homes we’re building in Dorset and it is great to be able to offer these new housetypes to homebuyers in the area.

“The development is perfect for families looking for a new home as it’s situated next door to the new Wimborne First School, while St Michael’s Middle School is about a mile-and-a-half away for older children. The wider development also features parks and open spaces.

“We’ve seen a great deal of interest already, which is no surprise given the development’s location so close to the centre of the lovely market town of Wimborne Minster, where you’ll find shops, supermarkets, cafes and the iconic Tivoli Theatre and Cinema.

“We are expecting the first completions here in July, so interested buyers could be moving in this year if they act fast. This is currently the only chance to buy a new Artisan Collection home in Dorset, so don’t miss out.”

There’s a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes available to reserve at Badbury Reach, with prices starting from £299,995.
