New homes approved in Bowgreave

Planning permission has been granted for a development of 44 executive homes in the historic market town of Garstang near Preston.

Award-winning house builder Duchy Homes has gained approval from the council for its proposal to build a collection of twenty-six, five-bedroom and four-bedroom detached homes along with eighteen high-quality two-bedroom affordable houses on the former agricultural pasture land at Calder House Lane in the coveted Bowgreave area of Garstang.

The approved development, named Calder Park, has been designed to provide generous family homes with contemporary interiors in attractive brick designs with features including bay windows, open-plan kitchen and family living, bi-folding doors and luxury bedrooms with walk-in wardrobes.

The nine-acre site is bounded by Little Calder River and is just one mile outside Garstang town centre.
