The first homes at a new housing development in Hatton have been released for sale to the public.
Bellway is now selling homes at Hatton Court after releasing the first selection of properties for sale, from its nearby Dove Manor development in Doveridge, with four homes already sold since the launch of the initial housetypes.
The national housebuilder is delivering 128 homes at the development off Derby Road, which is part of a joint 385-home scheme with the neighbouring Cherry Meadow development being built by Bellway’s sister brand Ashberry Homes.
Between them, the two developers are providing more than £2.4 million in funding for local services as part of the planning agreement for the scheme.
The financial contributions include £1.6 million towards education, £151,160 for healthcare and £449,068 towards recreational facilities.
Marie Richards, Sales Director at Bellway West Midlands, said: “We are working closely with Ashberry Homes to provide a range of high-quality new homes in this sought-after and well-connected village location.
“Alongside the new homes, the financial contributions we are making as part of the development will deliver a significant upgrade to local facilities and will leave a lasting legacy for both existing residents and future generations in Hatton.”
Plans for the joint Bellway and Ashberry development were approved by South Derbyshire District Council last year.
Marie said: “Hatton Court will comprise a mix of two to five-bedroom houses for sale, offering a wide choice of homes to suit people at various stages of the property ladder. We are expecting plenty of interest from families, first-time buyers and commuters looking to take advantage of the easy access to the A50.
“The wider development will also include public open space and cycleways to enable residents at Hatton Court to make the most of the village location.”
A selection of three and four-bedroom homes are currently available at Hatton Court, with prices starting from £222,995.
