Bellway has opened the doors to its new Cecilly Mills development in Cheadle, where the first homes have gone on sale.
Buyers can now make an appointment to visit the sales office at the site, which will feature a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses for sale.
A total of 120 homes are being built at the development, which is transforming the former Cecilly Mills JCB factory site off Oakamoor Road.
Marie Richards, Sales Director for Bellway West Midlands, said: “A selection of homes have now been released for sale at Cecilly Mills, following a huge surge of enquiries from potential buyers, and we’ve since taken our first reservations at the development.
“Around 700 people registered their interest in the development before we opened our doors, so we are expecting the homes to sell quickly.
“The site’s location and the mix of house types available will suit a wide range of prospective buyers. The development is situated under a mile from the town centre and just off the A521, making it a convenient option for people commuting to Stoke, while the plethora of well-regarded schools nearby is a big draw for families.”
Bellway has named the development in honour of the Cecilly Mills JCB factory that previously occupied the land. The factory closed down in 2016 and was demolished in 2017.
The housebuilder acquired the derelict site following the demolition and began construction work on the new homes after receiving planning permission at the beginning of this year. The first residents are expected to move into their homes early next year.
The properties at Cecilly Mills are from the Artisan collection, Bellway’s flagship range of new homes which combines traditional craftsmanship with the very latest construction techniques.
Prices currently start at £187,500 for a two-bedroom mid-terrace home and £245,950 for a three-bedroom detached house.
