Bellway has released for sale a number of new homes at a new development of apartments in Woolwich called Battalion Court.
Bellway London is building 65 apartments at Battalion Court, off Artillery Place. The housebuilder is regenerating a brownfield site, previously occupied by derelict commercial buildings, into a development of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
As well as providing new housing in the area, including 23 affordable homes for local people and key workers, Bellway is also investing £197,000 in local services and infrastructure as part of the planning agreement for the development.
Contributions include £97,200 towards securing carbon savings in the Borough of Greenwich, £65,000 to Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB), a council-run programme which helps local people find work, and £20,000 towards pedestrian and cycle facilities in John Wilson Street.
Emma Hamlett, Sales Director for Bellway London, said: “The new apartments at Battalion Court have been generating interest since details were first announced, and it’s no surprise that the launch of the first plots for sale has sparked a new flurry of enquiries here.
“Our attractive new apartments benefit from high specification interiors, private outdoor space to each apartment through either a balcony or terrace area, and beautifully landscaped communal gardens for residents to enjoy.
The first homes at Battalion Court, which will be part of two separate six-storey apartment blocks, are due to be ready for their new owners to move into towards the end of the year.
