Redrow | Barton Park
Plans for the next stage in the development of Barton Park in Oxfordshire have been revealed, with the submission of a Reserved Matters Application for Phase Three of the site. The plans, which were submitted by Redrow Homes South Midlands, are for a 13.84-acre phase of homes on the 90-acre development, located close to the A40 in the north-east of Oxford.

The submission includes the provision for 207 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, of which 83 will be for social rent. The application also includes a series of individually designed ‘pocket parks’ established within the streetscape, creating opportunities for informal play and a place where residents can socialise. Ashberry Homes South Midlands & Bellway Northern Home Counties | Kingsmere, Bicester
Housebuilders Ashberry Homes South Midlands and Bellway Northern Home Counties have teamed up to build new homes on the land within Phase 2 at Kingsmere. The development will consist of 176 new homes, with 52 of these being affordable housing.

Phase 2 of the Kingsmere development – which was granted planning permission in July 2017 – includes provision for up to 709 homes, two primary schools, a site for assisted care housing or retirement living accommodation, a small convenience store, open spaces, parks and children’s play areas.

Rob Noble, Sales Manager for Ashberry Homes South Midlands, said: “Our portion of the site will be called Royal Retreat and has been carefully designed to offer a wide range of properties to suit all types of house-hunters.”

Bellway Northern Home Counties is already building new homes at its Saxon Meadows development within Phase 1 of Kingsmere. Chris Edginton, Sales Director for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “It has been fantastic to watch so many people already secure their dream home with us at Kingsmere, and we are so pleased to be providing even more properties for house-hunters here.”

 

 

Jones Homes | Lenham
Jones Homes Southern is preparing to start work on a development of 70 homes in Lenham. The developer, based in Swanley, has purchased 7.4 acres of land off Ham Lane in the village and secured full planning consent to build the homes.

Sara Stanhope, Sales Director for Jones Homes Southern, said: “This will be a lovely development in a beautiful setting, which has excellent transport links locally and from Ashford and Maidstone into London. We will be building a range of three and four-bedroom homes, so the development will cater for a variety of people’s needs.”

 

Higgins | Peterhead Court, Southall
Higgins has completed the design and build of 68 new flats and houses at Peterhead Court, Southall for Ealing Council. Higgins was awarded the £18 million contract to replace 20 existing sub-standard homes on the Golf Links Estate, built in the 1970s, with 68 new homes for affordable rent and sale to first time buyers. A new purpose built community centre has also been delivered.

Steve Leakey, Managing Director for Higgins commented: “Our work at Peterhead Court has delivered much needed homes for local people and demonstrates our commitment to building new communities that are stronger, safer and more sustainable. We have also created employment opportunities for local people on the site through our training and apprenticeship schemes.”

 

CALA HOMES (West) | Jordanhill Park
Construction works at CALA Homes (West’s) £100m Jordanhill Park site has now surpassed 100 working days. More than 400 homes are ‘on track’ to be delivered by 2023. Designed by award-winning architects 7N, Jordanhill Park will offer a diverse range of contemporary homes – from one-bedroom flats to detached five-bedroom homes.

David Sutherland, Project Director, said: “Construction progress is in line with our expectations with both demolition and ground consolidation operations on programme. We continue to work alongside both the Jordanhill community and key stakeholders adjacent to our construction boundary.”

The first apartments are due to be completed and on the market by the beginning of 2020.

 

Bellway | North Leigh
A new three-bedroom ‘Witney’ showhome has recently been unveiled at Bellway’s Shepherds Walk development off New Yatt Road. It joins the four-bedroom Elm showhome which was launched in late 2018. Shepherds Walk is a development of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes which is entering its second phase of construction.

Crest Nicholson | Hygge Park, Keynsham
Crest Nicholson has unveiled the first of its new Aurora Open Living Collection of homes at Hygge Park, Keynsham. Located between Bristol and Bath, Hygge Park takes its inspiration from the Danish ‘Hygge’ concept of comfort and wellbeing. Each of the Aurora Open Living Collection homes prioritise flexible layouts, open living spaces and natural light.

The new three- and four-bedroom demonstration homes boast large glazed windows, bi-fold doors and wide entrance lobbies. Positioned at the heart of the home, the multi-faceted Stoltz kitchen with Bosch integrated appliances.

Hygge Park is set to offer 141 properties, comprising of six two-bedroom apartments and 135 new houses including two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.
