Manthorpe has added a new product to its expanding range of tile and slate vents.
Following closely behind the Mini-Castellated and Thin Leading Edge tile vents, the latest edition to the Manthorpe range is a new In-Line Slate Vent.
Developed by Manthorpe’s own in-house design team with input from roofing contractors, the new slate vent is designed to blend unobtrusively with both 600 x 300mm and 500 x 250mm sized, natural and man-made slates.
Manufactured from a durable polypropylene with a matte surface finish, the new slate vent offers a free ventilation area of 8,800mm2 with no additional adaptor required when connecting a flexible pipe for the purposes of mechanical extraction or soil pipe ventilation owing to the vents built in spigot.
To ensure the vents resistance to wind and rain penetration as outlined by BS 5534 the new slate vent has been independently wind tunnel tested by the Building Research Establishment to requirements of the EN 15601, testing data is available upon request.
