Jeld-Wen is boosting its support for housebuilders with the introduction of a variety of staircase services that make installing stairs as quick and easy as possible.
To help housebuilders meet strict project deadlines, the manufacturer has developed ‘Easyfit’ stair solutions, designed to not only help to reduce installation times but also improve the overall finish. Staircase components are supplied pre-notched, pre-cut and pre-drilled from the factory ready for installation, reducing the manual labour required on-site.
The company also offers a number of balustrade options including pre-assembled balustrading for quick installation, eliminating the need for sawing and cutting on site. It also offers demountable balustrades, which can also be temporarily removed to help transport large items of furniture upstairs.
Painting
One of the most time consuming parts of fitting a staircase is the painting and when working to short timescales and a tight budget, there’s no time to waste. Housebuilders can now reduce decorating time by opting for Jeld-Wen staircases that are part-finished with a three coat primed finish, which requires just a single layer of top coat on-site.
To protect staircases whilst under construction, the companyalso now supplies treads and risers with easy peel film protection that can simply be peeled away after painting leaving you with clean treads and risers.
