Housebuilder brings £13m investment to local area

Redrow Homes expanded its operations into the East Midlands in early 2017, with the team growing by a third in the process and bringing £13.3m to the region.

This includes over £7.6m to support primary, secondary and post-16 education, and contributions for healthcare, open spaces, play areas, community and sports facilities. Off-site highways will ensure these new and growing communities have the infrastructure in place to thrive.

At the end of last year, Redrow Homes East Midlands completed the site purchase of Durose Country Park in Breadsall Hilltop, which will deliver 230 new homes, which was closely followed by Henmore Gardens in Ashbourne, purchased in February, offering 113 homes, and finally Hackwood Farm in Mickleover, where 350 homes will be built – with further acquisitions already in the pipeline.

This year there are plans to increase the operating area, with opportunities being considered in Nottingham, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire. The overall aim of the ambitious plan for growth is to double the housing delivery for the region by 2020, and the division is firmly on track.

Redrow East Midlands has seen several key changes to its senior team, including the promotion of Martyn Pask to Regional Director, the appointment of Mary Timlin as Sales Director, and Andrew Noton as Land Director. In addition, Rachel West was appointed as Head of Customer Services, along with Sarah Cooper as Financial Director, all of whom join the existing senior management structure (pictured above) with Dave Bishell as Commercial Director and Paul Brennan as Construction Director.

Martyn Pask, Regional Director of Redrow East Midlands, said: “Here at Redrow East Midlands, we understand the importance of not only building homes, but of creating and supporting thriving communities – and we believe that we have everything in place to create exactly that across the East Midlands.

“We are very proud to have a division in the East Midlands, bringing growth to the region by creating jobs for local people and bringing investment to local communities too.

“It’s been a fantastic start for Redrow’s newest division. Redrow Homes East Midlands has placed particular emphasis on encouraging trainees, graduates and apprentices into the division since day one – and as a result, has an incredibly strong team in place from the ground up. The team is incredibly hardworking and eager to learn, and we are very proud of all they have achieved for the business – the results so far are testament to all of their hard work.”
