Higgins’ commitment to building sustainable communities through community engagement, employment and training opportunities has been recognised at this year’s UK Housing Awards and TPAS Awards.
Colville Estate in Hackney has been shortlisted for two categories at the 2020 UKHA awards. The ‘Best Neighbourhood Transformation’ award recognises an approach to regeneration that has been successful in transforming an area and the lives of the people living in it. Secondly the ‘Resident Training and Employment (under 15,000 homes)’ award focuses on supporting residents into training and employment, through both traditional and innovative solutions that result in a lasting impact on the quality of local residents lives.
Higgins has also been shortlisted in the national TPAS Awards for ‘Outstanding Tenant Engagement (Contractor)’ at Wooddene Estate in Peckham. The TPAS awards celebrate the very best in tenant engagement within housing sector and provide recognition to those demonstrating excellent working practice.
