As a result of the coronavirus crisis, Polypipe Civils & Green Urbanisation has transformed its Realising Resilience – An Introduction to Green Urbanisation seminar events, postponed from earlier this year, into an e-Roadshow programme of virtual experiences with strong regional dimensions.
The Realising Resilience e-Roadshow – hosted from a specially-built studio within Polypipe’s Loughborough site – brings together industry-leading specialists from the worlds of architecture, landscape architecture, utilities, engineering, environmental consultancy and urban master planning to deliver critical intelligence across green infrastructure, flood and drought resilience, urban realm landscaping and wellbeing.
The seminar speakers and topics all have strong regional themes, allowing the audience to pick not only subject matter but also the environment most relevant to them. Examples include, in the north west, Delivery of GU in Greater Manchester (feat. Blue Roofs); Policy and Master Planning for Biodiversity, GU and SuDS in London in the south; and Green Urbanisation and Active Travel in Scotland.
The Realising Resilience e-Roadshow series launches with the Manchester event on June 17th, and shifts its focus weekly thereafter to Wales, Birmingham, London and Scotland.
The Manchester guest list includes speakers from United Utilities, environmental services consultancy The Environment Partnership, Great Manchester Combined Authority and the geo-environmental engineering design practice The Environmental Protection Group.
Free to attend, the online seminars include up to four keynote speakers, plus an open Q&A, with participants able to register questions throughout the sessions for consideration at the end.
