A girls football team in Cheltenham is sporting a new look thanks to a sponsorship deal with Vistry Group.
Vistry, which is building new Bovis Homes properties at its Spectre Hill location in Cheltenham, has provided new training jackets for the U12 Vipers at Cheltenham Town Ladies FC Youth.
The girls train at All Saints Academy in Blaisdon Way, Cheltenham, and play their home matches at Swindon Village Park in Cheltenham. So far this season they have won all their league and cup matches and currently lead the U12 division of the Gloucester Girls County League.
Simon Bickerdike, manager of the U12 Vipers, said: “We are very appreciative of Vistry’s donation to the club. Their support has improved the look of the team.
“The girls love their new training jackets, and it makes them look united when they show up to matches. They used to turn up to training wearing whatever they felt like, and they look much smarter now.”
Vistry is currently building 50 new two-bedroom apartments at Spectre Hill, sold under its Bovis Homes brand, which is located off Prestbury Road.
Hayley Ody, regional sales and marketing director for Vistry’s Cotswolds, said: “We are committed to supporting the local community in Cheltenham as part of our work providing new homes within the town.
“Girls’ football has been a growing force in communities across the country, and it is great to see Cheltenham Town Ladies FC Youth at the forefront of this, as an already thriving and successful club.
“There have been many positive role models emerging in sport for young girls over the past few years, with the most recent highlight the Lionesses’ victory in the Euros, and we believe it’s important to encourage more girls to get involved with the game.
“We’re happy to help the U12 Vipers look and feel like a united team and we’ll be rooting for the team as the season progresses!”
There’s currently a choice of two-bedroom apartments available to reserve at Spectre Hill, with prices starting from £249,995. More information can be found at bovishomes.co.uk.
