We have become accustomed to leisure clothes and even jeans made from stretch materials that are elasticated and which provide fantastic comfort whenever we move around. Now trades professionals can enjoy the same qualities from the types of hi-vis clothing often worn for protection.
Mascot’s new range of hi-vis clothing, Accelerate Safe, is made from durable stretch materials while retaining certified visibility (according to EN ISO 20471) to keep professionals safe and protected at work: designed for contractors who prioritise functionality and safety but who also want to look smart.
Once stretch, always stretch
“Trousers you simply don’t want to take off!” – This was the reaction that Mascot received from tradesman when we launched our first range of stretch work trousers in non-hi-vis colours. Since then, black, white and blue stretch workwear trousers have become staple in many workwear wardrobes.
Now the company is also launching hi-vis stretch trousers featuring a fluorescent and stretch trouser fabric that is lightweight, highly durable and boasts a water-repellent finish. It is soft and supple on the inside and the pockets are designed so that they can be filled to the brim without impacting on freedom of movement.
Optimum comfort
Low weight, high visibility and comfort are other key features of the new hi-vis fabrics in the Accelerate Safe collection. The trousers are flexible in all directions and the fabric follows the body’s movements whether kneeling or standing.
The stretch fabric also contracts effectively so that the trousers retain their shape and fit, even after plenty of wear. Selected products in the range are also suitable for industrial washing at temperature of up to 60°C.
Sporty design
The collection also boasts an athletic design with segmented and asymmetrical reflectors giving the products a dynamic and slimming look. The reflectors are also segmented for a more modern appearance and design.
Hi-vis clothing for all
Accelerate Safe is a two-tone range which encompasses products head to toe and from inner layer to outer layer in many different colour combinations and sizes for both men and women. Trousers in the range are available in different options including ‘Ultimate Stretch’ (four-way stretch), stretch zones and with no stretch at all.
The range also enables women to put together a complete workwear wardrobe featuring everything from T-shirts and jackets through to trousers and skirts – designed with the female figure in mind and in common sizes.
