Work is underway at a new housing development which will provide 125 homes in the Devon village of Willand.
Bellway has started construction at Fox Mill Gardens, off Meadow Park. A total of 81 three, four and five-bedroom houses will be built for private sale, while there will be 44 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership.
Tim Lund, Sales Director for Bellway South-west, said: “Now construction is underway at Fox Mill Gardens, we are looking forward to delivering a high-quality range of three, four and five-bedroom homes for sale in the village.
“We worked closely with the local authority to make sure the development will be sympathetic with the surrounding landscape, and many of the trees and hedgerows on the site will be retained in line with that, alongside new planting.
“This is Bellway’s first development in Devon for several years and we hope that bringing the reputation and build quality of a five-star builder to the county can pave the way for future sites in the area – including a forthcoming development in Crediton which is in the pipeline.”
Bellway could release the first homes for sale at Fox Mill Gardens in winter 2022/23.
