Hayfield has acquired a 10-acre (4-Ha) site in the north Oxfordshire village of Adderbury to deliver 40 eco-efficient luxury homes.
The site has been purchased from a private landowner and promoter Hollins Strategic Land, with outline planning consent in place. Pegasus Group has been appointed to prepare a reserved matters application, which will be submitted to Cherwell District Council. The plans for the £20m scheme feature a range of maisonettes, bungalows, and two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom executive houses.
Andy Morris, Managing Director of Hayfield, said: “The first site Hayfield acquired was in Oxfordshire and since then, we have always had a live development in the county. With the final purchasers shortly moving into Hayfield Green in West Oxfordshire, the acquisition of this prime site in Adderbury is perfectly timed. As a reflection of the desirability of this semi-rural village location, our plans for the scheme include a high proportion of executive homes, including the five-bedroom double-fronted Eaton, which is the largest house in our design portfolio.”
The eco-focused specification will include air source heat pumps, energy-efficient underfloor heating, electric vehicle fast-charging points and ultra-fast broadband.
35% of the proposed scheme will be designated for affordable housing, with all 40 homes tenure blind by design. All homes will have designated parking.
