West Wales contractor ITH Construction Ltd, part of GDH Holdings Ltd, has completed its first housing development.
Knights Court comprises 15 family homes in the village of Templeton near Narberth in Carmarthenshire. The houses are for sale now and Gerald D Harries & Sons Ltd is working with buyers on bespoke designs for their new homes’ interiors.
The development has broken new ground for Gerald D Harries & Sons Ltd, one of Wales’s largest independent suppliers of aggregates and a civil engineering company delivering million pound infrastructure projects.
Gerald D Harries & Sons Ltd’s Business Manager, Janet Phillips, said: “The development sits on a field close to our headquarters. We took over the project after it had commenced with our skillset well matched to providing infrastructure and roads, but we also recognised that we had the skills, materials and expertise to complete the construction of the houses too.”
The development comprises of detached four-bedroom and three-bedroom semi-detached properties. As part of the project, land is in the process of being donated to increase the size of the village green, and the houses have been designed with spacious land around them to improve the sense of space and reduce housing density.
Janet Phillips continued: “We are working with interior designer Linda Hunt of Meigan Designs to create family homes that will appeal to all age groups and to maximise space.
“We also worked with GW Tiles of St Clears to design a state-of-the art kitchen. However, every buyer can have total control of the way in which the interior of their home is designed.”
