First phase of Hayfield Gate sells out within two weeks

The first phase of Hayfield Gate has sold out within two weeks of the off-plan launch, breaking all sales records for Hayfield Homes.

The development of 95 family homes is located off New Road and Hitchin Lane in the Bedfordshire village of Clifton.

The 11.8-acre development site is currently inaccessible to members of the public, with the first completions only due to take place in October. The off-plan sales have been taken on an appointment only basis from a dedicated sales lounge that has been created at Hayfield’s other Bedfordshire scheme, located seven miles away in Silsoe. A huge to scale model of Hayfield Gate is enabling interested parties to take a closer look at the expansive site layout and various house designs. Prices for the second release of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes range from £345,000 to £725,000.

Kelly Sharman, Sales and Marketing Director for Hayfield said: “We have been blown away by the popularity of this development. The majority of the homes in the first release were large four and five-bedroom family houses. It is so rare to secure off-plan sales for luxury family homes, but our buyers – all but two of whom already live locally – were waiting for the development to launch in order to secure their preferred plot. The excellent schooling and transport links are amongst the reasons why Clifton is so popular.

“While the construction work progresses at pace, we have brought forward the second release at Hayfield Gate. The new two, three, four and five-bedroom homes are still being offered at off-plan prices, with appointments being arranged on a priority basis. The scheme is setting a new standard for luxury homes in the area and we would urge anyone who is looking to move onto or up the property ladder in Clifton to get in touch with us.”

Hayfield Gate will incorporate the creation of a main spine road to run through the development, connecting with New Road at the western edge, Hitchin Lane at the eastern edge and providing easy access to the A507. There will also be a biodiversity corridor created through the middle of the scheme.

Clifton has been awarded the accolade of Bedfordshire Village of the Year three times over. It is highly popular due to its excellent transport links to London and the wider South East, as well as across the Oxford to Cambridge arc. The village also benefits from idyllic countryside, Ofsted Outstanding-rated schooling and a range of local amenities. Hayfield is contributing in excess of £872,000 towards local infrastructure and service improvements, including over £750,000 towards education and schooling.
