Macbryde Homes | Penyffordd
Macbryde Homes has confirmed that work will start before the end of this year on 32 new homes on a site off Hawarden Road in Penyffordd. Planning was granted by Flintshire Council earlier this year and the St-Asaph-based housebuilder has now exchanged on the purchase of the site allowing work to start imminently.

The development, named Oak Meadow, will comprise of a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes. The housebuilder believes that the new homes will appeal to first-time buyers, young families and professionals looking to commute to nearby Chester. Ten of the homes will be designated as affordable.

Brabazon CrescentYTL Developments | Brabazon, Bristol
YTL Developments has appointed Bristol-based contractors Vertase FLI to deliver enabling works for the first phase of new homes at Brabazon. The first major construction contract to transform the historic former Filton Airfield into a thriving new neighbourhood for Bristol has been awarded to a local firm, Vertase FLI.

The historic former airfield is set to become a new urban community, known as Brabazon. Vertase FLI will carry out the necessary enabling works so that construction can begin later this Autumn.

The first phase of new homes at Brabazon has been designed by Stirling Prize-winning architects Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios. The architecture of the 278 new properties reflects the heritage of the site, with the rooflines at Brabazon designed to echo the profile of an airplane’s tail-fin while also maximising light for the homes’ energy-efficient solar panels. Bellway London Partnerships | Crayford

Bellway London Partnerships has had plans approved to build 35 affordable homes in Crayford. A disused industrial site in Crayford will be transformed into a development of 35 affordable homes. The development in Maiden Lane will create new houses and apartments along the banks of the River Cray.

The homes will be among the first to be built by the newly established Bellway division, which was set up in February to increase the supply of low-cost homes in London.

Under the plans, a locally listed barn, most recently used as an auction house, will be carefully taken down and rebuilt using as many of the existing materials as can be preserved. In addition, Bellway will build two coach houses, 11 houses and a block of 20 apartments. Access to the riverbank alongside the River Cray would also be re-opened for use once the development is complete. Find out more…

Troy Homes, which has been building small to medium-sized developments across the South East of England since 2015, has announced that it latest development Chestnut Mews at Theydon Bois is 25% reserved.

The diverse collection of eight two-bedroom homes includes six luxury two-bedroom, and two-bedroom with study, apartments and maisonettes, a semi-detached house and a detached cottage.

Each home in the collection has been designed with spacious modern layouts. In the fully fitted kitchen, the high-gloss furniture comes complete with integrated state-of-the-art Siemens appliances, as well as Quartz worktops and upstands. The bathrooms and en-suites feature Hansgrohe taps, showers and complementary Villeroy and Boch sanitaryware.

HaloThe HALO Urban Regeneration Company | Kilmarnock
The HALO Urban Regeneration Company has announced Morrison Construction as its main contractor for Phase 1 of the HALO development in Kilmarnock – its Enterprise and Innovation Hub. The project is a £63million brownfield urban regeneration project on a 23-acre site, formerly the home of Scotch whisky company, Johnnie Walker.

The HALO project has a sustainable community approach to a low carbon mixed-use development, providing jobs, economic growth, skills development, access to employment opportunities, clean energy and housing. Work is due to start at the HALO site by the end of this month. Find out more…

 

Willmott DixonWillmott Dixon | Ashby de la Zouch
Willmott Dixon will deliver a £12.5 million scheme to construct a collection of 65 new homes in Ashby de la Zouch. The 65 one- and two-bedroom homes are located alongside communal areas such as a hairdressers and bistro for emh care & support. The scheme has been designed to create an inclusive environment that brings together people of all ages as there is no age restriction on the facility.

Upon completion, 50 of the apartments will be rented while 15 will be for sale.
