The first phase of homes being built at a development in Weston-super-Mare have sold within just a few months of their launch, reflecting the growing need for new housing in the area.
All 32 properties within the first sales phase at Bellway’s Mead Fields have been reserved, with the second phase of homes now released ahead of schedule to meet demand.
Bellway is delivering 150 homes on the site off Wolvershill Road, including a range of 132 two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses for private sale and 18 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership.
Rachel Way, Sales Manager for Bellway South West, said: “The success of the first release of homes at Mead Fields – with all plots now sold – has led us to release the second phase already, after only launching the site in March of this year.
“There’s clearly a growing need for new housing in the area, but the development has also been popular due to its proximity to the town centre and the attractive coastline.
“We’ve seen a wide range of prospective buyers here, including first-time buyers and families, while commuters are drawn to the development’s easy access to the M5 and the fact that Bristol is only a 40-minute drive away.
“Parents looking to buy at Mead Fields also appreciate the fact that there are a number of highly regarded schools within a two-mile radius.”
Visitors to the development are able to look around the four-bedroom Milliner and Scrivener showhomes which have now opened and can be viewed by appointment only.
There’s currently a range of three-bedroom Southcott homes available to purchase at Mead Fields, with prices starting from £304,995.
