Bellway has submitted plans for the second phase of its Berwick Green development on the outskirts of Bristol.
The housebuilder is already constructing phase one of the development, a 256-home scheme off Cribbs Causeway, where the first properties are due to be released for sale later this year.
Now the company is seeking planning permission for phase two, which will consist of a further 153 homes.
Tim Lund, Sales Director for Bellway South West, said: “Submitting our plans for phase two of Berwick Green is an important moment in this significant project.
“The land purchase for Berwick Green was the largest ever made by our South West division and forms a cornerstone of our commitment to helping meet the local demand for homes. Seeing through this planning application will enable us to take the next steps in this scheme.
“We are sure the development will be popular as we are offering a wide variety of home styles and the location offers so much in terms of its proximity to the shops and leisure facilities at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, its close links to Bristol city centre and its easy access to the M5, less than a mile away.
Work on Bellway’s first phase at Berwick Green is already under way and the development will feature a mix of 192 two, three and four-bedroom houses and two-bedroom apartments for private sale, alongside 64 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership.
Phase two of the development is proposed to include a further 112 private properties and 41 affordable homes.
The development will include house styles from Bellway’s Artisan Collection. The first homes are due to go on sale later this year.
