Midlands developer Springbourne Homes has received full planning permission for a new site near Market Bosworth in Leicestershire.
Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council has given Warwickshire-based Springbourne Homes the green light to build 19 new homes on a 10 acre plot at Bosworth Road, Wellsborough, near Market Bosworth. Construction work on the Hornsey Rise project has already begun with a range of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes due to go on sale in the New Year.
Springbourne Homes’ Chairman Adrian Burr said: “This is the most exciting and prestigious development we have undertaken in our 25 years as a business. Now we’re ready to create something truly special and deliver a stylish range of top quality homes to match this superb position.”

The Hornsey Rise name has been chosen to pay homage to the history of the site as it was originally the setting for the Hornsey Rise Care Home for retired printers, which first opened in 1921. In another acknowledgement of the heritage of the plot, the original chapel will be restored, refurbished and extended to provide a unique three bedroom dwelling.
A vandalised and desecrated War Memorial, erected in memory of 380 printers who died in World War One will also be restored and re-sited in a new ‘Peace Garden’ alongside the development.
