Avant Homes | Waterside Quarter, Chesterfield
Avant Homes is set to build 173 new homes at a new £36m development in Chesterfield after planning permission was approved by Chesterfield Borough Council. The 12-acre former timber yard site will form a key part of the residential area at Chesterfield Waterside – a £340 million regeneration scheme located close to Chesterfield town centre.
Named Waterside Quarter, the development will form part of ‘The Park’ area of the scheme. It will include a mixture of Avant Homes’ contemporary, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, offering buyers 11 different house types to choose from. Groundworks are due to commence in July and the first homes will be ready for occupation in June 2020.

Jones Homes | Heather View, Hade Edge
A four-bedroom detached Holcombe show home has been opened at Jones Homes’ Heather View development in Hade Edge. The development features a collection of three-, four- and five-bedroom properties located within the Holme Valley. The Holcombe is a double-fronted house which features three double bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and dining room, as well as a living room with French doors leading to the garden room, which itself has French doors out to the landscaped rear garden.

Bellway | Walton Park, Walton-on-Thames
Bellway has unveiled a two-bedroom ‘The Oak’ showhome, a three-bedroom ‘The Aspen’ housetype and a three-bedroom The Maple ‘viewhome’ at the Walton-on-Thames development. The 97 new homes are located on the Rivernook Farm site, off Hurst Road. There’s currently a choice of two, three and four-bedroom houses available to reserve at Walton Park, with two-bedroom apartments coming later in the year. The first homes will be ready to move into this summer.

Priestley Homes | Holmfirth mill
Leeds-based developer, Priestley Homes – which specialises in the regeneration of historic buildings – will carry out £2.2m restoration work on Green Lane Mill in Holmfirth to create 11 luxury, two-bedroom apartments.
A six-month programme of work is expected to commence in Q3 2019 and will be carried out by the developer’s contracting arm, Priestley Construction. Completion is expected Q1 2020. The project is a joint venture with GJR Developments. The project team comprises contractor, Priestley Construction; architects, Priestley Design Ltd; planning consultant, Indigo Planning.

Redrow Homes East Midlands | New Lubbesthorpe, near Leicester
Redrow Homes East Midlands has acquired a 9.5-acre site for the construction of 163 properties close to Leicester city centre and surrounded by 325 acres of new parklands. Construction of the one to four-bedroom homes will commence at the development in October, with the first homes available in spring next year.
The development will form part of a wider new community, which will feature 4,500 new homes, in addition to a health and leisure club, a leisure and golf centre, a post office, pharmacy and other local shops. Chestnut Homes | LN6, Lincoln
A Lincolnshire-based housebuilder is helping to meet local demand by ensuring its homes fulfil the needs of older and disabled people. Chestnut Homes is building selected properties which have been increased in size to meet higher building regulations for accessible and adaptable homes.
Five three-bedroom semi-detached houses at the developer’s LN6 development in Lincoln have been designed to suit people with mobility problems or disabilities. These include features such as level access, clear space in kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms, handles, switches and sockets at set heights and wider doorways.
Staircases have also been made wider, to make it possible to fit a stairlift in the future. The five homes built to Part M4(2) of Building Regulations at LN6 are each De Forz housetypes. Find out more…
Bewley Homes | Hungerford
Bewley Homes has completed on the purchase of a site in Hungerford which has outline planning consent for 100 dwellings, to be created in partnership with Wates Residential Developments Group. The new homes, 40 per cent of which will be affordable homes, form part of Bewley’s new Garden Village Housing Collection. The Salisbury Road site, which has a gross development value of £38m, will comprise a mixture of one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom properties. The development is being designed by Noble Architects.
Bewley Homes Managing Director Andrew Brooks said: “This is the first Bewley Homes site in Hungerford, and we are all looking forward to building a long-standing relationship with what is an exceptional market town.”
