New four-door fridge freezer launched by Smeg

Italian appliance brand Smeg has launched a new four-door fridge freezer, which it believes is ‘ideal’ for those looking to make a statement.

Further extending its range of 4-door refrigerators, the FQ60X2PEAI is a new powerful cooling unit from Smeg that it believes is ‘ideal’ for larger families or those who love to entertain. The fridge has a 626 litre total gross capacity, and features an 83 litre Multizone compartment which can be used as either a fridge or freezer depending on storage needs.

The new fridge features a sleek external touch-controlled display on the door which allows users to easily set the temperature, and control other functions, without needing to open the fridge – a handy feature that saves both energy and money.

This model also has two separate cooling systems, one for the fridge and one for the freezer. This allows optimum humidity and freshness to be maintained within the compartments, faster cooling, a dry environment in the freezer so ice doesn’t build up and no odour transfer between the fridge and freezer compartments.

The company’s natural BLU light technology also helps tackle unnecessarily wasted food; the fruit and vegetables drawers help to continue the process of photosynthesis which means fruit and veg stays fresher for longer.

Other features include, LED interior lighting, fast freeze function, holiday function, and a completely frost-free freezer. The FQ60X2PEAI is rated A++ for energy efficiency, plus a noise level of 43 dB(A).
