A new solution to enable the control of lighting, music playlists and radio stations from one control panel, has been launched by Systemline and Clipsal.
Systemline, a specialist audio installation brand, and Schneider Electric, have announced a new software integration between Systemline S7, the leading multi-room audio system, and Clipsal C-Bus, the advanced home automation and lighting platform. The move is designed to help to provide increased convenience and choice to homeowners, who will be able to control their lighting, music playlists and radio stations from one control panel.
The integration makes use of the C-Bus Network Automation Controller, which acts as a bridge between C-Bus home automation components and the S7 multi-room audio system.
Paul Hilditch, Systemline Brand Manager, said: “This is another example of Systemline working with an established and respected home automation brand. This really has the ‘end user experience’ at the forefront of the development. Not everyone wants to rely on a smartphone or tablet app just to turn on a radio in the bathroom. With S7 and C-Bus, a homeowner can turn on the lights and enjoy their favourite radio station with just one button press – it really is the difference between using and really enjoying the system or not.”
Asad Zaidi, Lighting & Room Control Category Manager, Schneider Electric, said: “C-Bus is one of the most flexible systems in the market for integrating with wide array of products. Our customers demand the very best in-home control to enhance their modern lifestyles, and the combination of C-Bus and Systemline S7 delivers this. We have worked with Systemline in the past to deliver the best quality solutions, and it was a pleasure to work with them again to create something that benefits customers, giving them a tried and tested comprehensive solution.”
