Saint-Gobain launches free digital project management tool for self-builders

Saint-Gobain UK and Ireland have released a free online Self-Build Manager to help self-builders project manage the build process of their dream home.

Running a self-build project on time and on budget is the dream for every self-builder. But it can prove to be overwhelming, time-consuming and complicated. The Saint-Gobain Self-Build Manager takes the hassle out of project management with its easy-to-use system which keeps everything you need for your project in one place.

Self-builders can upload and securely store and share design plans, documents and images, manage tasks and set deadlines by inviting other members or trades involved in the project.

The online tool can be accessed via the Saint-Gobain Self-Build website [build.saint-gobain.co.uk], which has a wide range of advice, insight and case studies from other self-builders all aimed at helping self-builders to manage the build of their dream, comfortable and efficient home from start to finish.

Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, through its 36 brands provides almost everything needed to create a self-build home. Services, such as Build Aviator’s estimating and scheduling or Scotframe’s whole timber frame help make life easy for self-builders. 

Mike Chaldecott, CEO Saint-Gobain UK and Ireland; said; “Many people dream of building their own home – almost one in three according to recent research by the National Custom and Self Build Association and the Building Societies Association. The findings also reveal that reducing environmental impact is a key factor behind the ambition to self-build for a third of people and nearly 90% said they want to create an energy efficient home that reduces running costs, is more comfortable and reduces carbon.
