Roger Bullivant Limited Secures First Contract with Dandara for Major Residential Development in Milton Keynes

Roger Bullivant Limited (RBL), a leading provider of foundation solutions, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded its first project with Dandara, a respected private property development company. The contract involves installing 10,000 linear meters of precast concrete RBeam and 2,100 Driven Precast Concrete Piles to support 285 plots across three phases of a significant residential development project in Milton Keynes.

“The service we have received from RBL to date has been exceptional,” said a spokesperson from Dandara, “Luke Taylor, Foundation Systems Manager, has been outstanding, communication has been great, and he has been very helpful and accommodating with an ever-changing programme and build sequence. Any issues raised have been dealt with quickly and efficiently.”

The project’s scope includes the installation of Driven Precast Concrete Piles to depths ranging from 6 to 10 meters into underlying clays, addressing the unique geotechnical challenges presented by the site in Milton Keynes. Through planning and precise execution, Roger Bullivant Limited aims to ensure the structural integrity and stability of individual plots. The choice of this foundation solution was made with consideration, to its efficient program. The off-site manufacturing process of RBeam enables quick project timelines, enhancing productivity, quality, and safety standards. Whether applied in modular or traditional construction methods, RBeam facilitates accelerated build programs without compromising structural integrity or performance.

This milestone marks a significant achievement for Roger Bullivant Limited, underscoring its commitment to providing reliable solutions in the construction industry. Leveraging its expertise and innovative techniques, RBL commenced mobilisation on site in April, with a phased plan to complete the project by the end of the year.

“We are excited to work with Dandara on this project and look forward to contributing to its success,” said Gareth Griffiths, Midlands Area Manager at Roger Bullivant Limited. “This opportunity reflects our dedication to delivering quality solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.”

Roger Bullivant Limited’s precast ground beam system, RBeam, has been developed in-house, and is manufactured to exacting standards offering an alternative to traditional in-situ ground beams. This solution provided a single point of responsibility for the design and construction of the foundation. The premanufactured piles and beams can significantly reduce carbon emissions compared to trench fill foundations. Unlike insitu ground beams where a “one size fits all” design approach is often used, the factory produced products utilise the precise volumes of concrete and reinforcement to meet individual beam span design requirements aligning with contemporary environmental goals. Its modular design and stock lengths allows for individual beams to be adjusted, providing unparalleled flexibility in accommodating diverse and complex plot layouts and drainage needs, while not requiring bespoke product lead in times.
