Midlands-based housebuilder Peveril Homes is toasting a prestigious award win after securing the President’s Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for a 13th consecutive year.
The annual event is aimed at recognising health and safety excellence across all industries and the Belper-based developer has won the award which celebrates ‘outstanding performance in health and safety at work’.
Peveril Homes will be presented with the award during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel on Wednesday 4th July 2018, when a wealth of businesses will come together from a range of industries to celebrate their achievements.
Through the RoSPA Awards scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. The award is now in its 62nd year.
President’s Awards are presented to organisations that can maintain and consistently achieve the high standards of RoSPA’s gold level over consecutive years. Peveril Homes’ Construction Director, Colin Wright, commented: “It is always an honour to be recognised by RoSPA for the work we do, but to be awarded the President’s Award for a 13th consecutive year is a tremendous feat and a testament to the team we have at Peveril Homes.
“Our internal health and safety culture is fantastic – and this award highlights that the procedures and processes we have in place are not only working, but ensuring that we adhere to the best industry standards on a consistent basis.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Head of Qualifications, Awards and Events, added: “The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it.”
