Origin, a manufacturer of bespoke aluminium doors and windows, has invested in a new warehouse facility, located in Bicester.
The company says that unpredictability caused by Brexit border issues and COVID-19 supply delays, as well as increased sales, greater productivity, and more Partners on board than ever before, has led it to taking on the 55,000ft2 warehouse facility.
Consisting of two units, the new space – named The Ark – will be used by Origin’s supply and logistics teams to stock significant volumes of aluminium profile and components, and to maintain the business’ daily production at its manufacturing facility in High Wycombe.
Daniel Baker, Managing Director at Origin, commented: “At Origin, our Partners are the beating heart of our business, and we want to make their lives as simple and easy as possible. A large part of this is by supporting them across all areas of their operations, including product delivery. As many people will already know, we work very hard to create strong relationships with our supply chain, and we have invested heavily in additional stock, futureproofing us and our Partners against any uncertainty down the line. Our investment in this new facility is the latest demonstration of our commitment to them and their businesses, ensuring they continue to receive our products no matter the demand or situation.”
