Milton-Keynes based homebuilder, Storey Homes, has appointed Mike Nelson as its new Construction Director.
Mike joins the Storey Homes team as the company looks to further grow its portfolio of developments across the Northern Home Counties.
Inspired by his father, who was also a builder, Mike started his career over 30 years ago in carpentry, before moving into construction management. He has enjoyed various Construction Director roles at companies such as Berkeley Homes, Ashwell Property Group and Durkan, managing projects worth up to £550 million.
Mike Nelson commented: “Working in London for the past 15 years has been extremely inspiring, rewarding and challenging in many ways. Looking for my next step, I was attracted to Storey Homes, as I see the company as a rare combination of an established well-funded regional residential housebuilder with a dedicated team, that is focused on creating a firm foundation for future growth. Storey Homes has a strong family culture and I have been made to feel very welcome by all the team. Everyone works hard to achieve the set goals and the entire journey and experience is very unique.”
Mike will report to Managing Director, Katy Jordan, who commented: “We are delighted to welcome Mike to Storey Homes. He brings a wealth of experience and invaluable knowledge and skills to further strengthen our team. Mike’s passion and dedication make him a great addition and asset to the company.”
Established in 2003, Storey Homes is a family owned property developer based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. Current sites include De Montfort Place in Bedford, Bedfordshire and Birch Meadow in Barkway, Hertfordshire.
