Crest Nicholson has become the third developer to enter a contract to construct homes at Urban&Civic and Aviva Investors’ Houlton site in Rugby, Warwickshire.
The housebuilder will develop up to 205 residential plots on its 12.5-acre parcel, with construction expected to commence in spring 2017.
This latest agreement follows deals already completed at Houlton with regional builders Davidsons Homes at the end of last year and Morris Homes earlier this year.
Urban&Civic and Aviva Investors have now contracted on 625 plots across 45 developable acres with Davidsons Homes commencing work on site in early October for their 105 consented homes and Morris Homes expected to break ground in the new year.
Richard Coppell, Development Director for Urban&Civic comments: “We’re delighted to welcome Crest Nicholson on board at Houlton and we are looking forward to generating good momentum on house building at Houlton during 2017.
“We have partnered with housebuilders that we know construct high quality, beautiful family homes to complement the level of investment made on infrastructure and landscaping and this will be visible to people considering making Houlton their home.”
The homes represent the third phase of Houlton, a 1200-acre urban extension to the East of Rugby that will eventually comprise 6,200 new homes, three primary schools, a secondary school, a GP health centre and 31 hectares of employment space and 299 hectares of open space.
