Sigma Homes has launched its £10m Spring Bank development, consisting of 20 energy efficient homes on the edge of Haywards Heath, in West Sussex.

Two of the properties will be sold as First Homes, enabling first time buyers to benefit from a discount of at least 40% off the property value, which is then applied in perpetuity.

The two-, three-, and four-bedroom houses on the 3.1 acre site range in size from 870 – 1,885ft2. The homes will feature EV charging points, contemporary kitchens with Bosch appliances, fitted wardrobes to all bedrooms, and high-quality vinyl and carpeting provided as standard throughout.

Environmentally, Sigma plans to encourage the existing dense scrub to provide habitats for a range of protected species, including breeding birds, bats, hazel dormice, and reptiles.

Mid Sussex District Council has set the eligibility criteria for the First Homes on the development. The maximum household income for applicants is £80,000 per year. Eligible first time buyers must have lived in the area for 12 consecutive months or have a close family member living locally. Members, widows, or widowers of the armed forces also qualify.
