Lovell to bring 213 new homes to Holt in north Norfolk

Lovell has just started work on a £58 million development of more than 200 new high-quality homes in Holt, north Norfolk.

One of north Norfolk’s largest housing developments, the scheme will create 213 much-needed homes at Heath Farm on the town’s south-eastern edge. The area is earmarked for new housing by North Norfolk District Council as part of a wider development also set to bring new jobs and employment opportunities to the historic market town.

Lovell will build 162 homes for open market sale – a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom houses – and 51 homes for affordable rent and shared ownership, including one-bedroom flats and two-, three- and four-bedroom houses. Designed to complement north Norfolk’s architectural heritage, the properties will feature traditional brick, render and flint finishes.

Construction on the new homes is beginning following completion of the new roundabout on the A418 bypass which will be the main access to the development. The overall housing scheme is set for completion in 2023 with the first new homes for sale expected to be available at the end of this year. The new affordable rent and shared ownership homes will be owned and managed by Victory Housing Trust.

“We’re very excited to be starting work on these outstanding new homes for Holt which is one of north Norfolk’s most desirable places to live,” says Simon Medler, regional managing director for Lovell which has its East Anglia regional office in Norwich.
