Parkland preserved at Knowle Hill Park

Councillors Shweta Kapadia, Karen Randolph and Dorothy Mitchell recently visited Knowle Hill Park in Cobham where premium property developer, Millgate, is currently developing 29 new homes surrounded by picturesque parkland.

Managing Director of Millgate, David Simpson welcomed the Elmbridge Councillors to Knowle Hill Park on Thursday 23rd February, giving them the opportunity to see the parkland and have a private tour of the new development. These Councillors were some of the key individuals who sat on the east area planning committee which granted the planning permission back in 2015.

Millgate invited the Councillors to visit the luxury residential scheme after recently declining Elmbridge Council’s suggestion of releasing the green belt land surrounding Knowle Hill Park for future development. Millgate felt strongly that it would not be in the interests of their purchasers or indeed the local residents to permit further development on the land. The tour provided the Councillors a chance to see this first-hand.

During the event Councillor Shweta Kapadia commented: “I would like to thank Millgate for inviting us to Knowle Hill Park to see first-hand the unique qualities of this attractive parkland and the heritage of the site. The Millgate team has co-operated with Council officers on this project. As developers, they have been extremely accommodating and helped make it easier for the Council to deal with their application.”

David Simpson, Managing Director of Millgate commented: “We were delighted to welcome representatives from Elmbridge Council. Our guests were not only captivated by the unspoiled views and unique, historic setting which residents will benefit from here, but they were also very impressed by the luxury and quality of our show home.”
