Construction work has begun at a 156 new homes development in North Wales by Macbryde Homes.
The 156 new homes being built by Macbryde Homes, will be located on land previously ear-marked for the North Wales Business Park. Ranging from two-bedroom mews style homes, through to three-bedroom and four-bedroom detached family homes, work on the 14.8-acre site is anticipated to create over 250 jobs, of which 92 will be directly involved in construction.
Caryl Russell, Sales Manager at Macbryde Homes, explained: “Abergele has a growing population and this land, adjacent to the developed part of the North Wales Business Park, was always ripe for residential development. It is, therefore, fantastic to now be moving forward with construction.
“With a wealth of established job opportunities right on the doorstep and strong transport links for those who need to travel further afield, we always believed that these homes would be popular, but we’ve been quite staggered by just how much interest has been shown before work has even commenced.”
Sales at Abergele will officially launch on April 7th.
The homes, being marketed under the name “Bron Y Castell”, will be constructed to take account of the existing character of the local landscape and built environment. Materials will be a combination of cast limestone walling and render, and buff brick and render, both with grey roof tiles.
Stuart Andrew, Design Manager at Macbryde Homes, added: “Significant time and consideration went in to preparing our proposals to ensure that this development is complimentary to its locale and to ensure that it doesn’t impact negatively on either existing or future traffic flows in the town. We are, therefore, very much looking forward to seeing how it is received by the local population.”
Planning permission was secured in July 2017.
