Building work to transform a former hotel destroyed by fire into new homes is underway in Swindon.
Bellway is building 139 new homes on the site of the former South Marston Hotel, off Vicarage Lane. The development, which will be known as Vicarage Gardens, will comprise a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties.
Christel Hawkins, Sales Manager for Bellway South West, said: “We are really happy to announce that we have started work on the new homes at Vicarage Gardens. The hotel was once at the heart of the community, so we have worked closely to ensure that the new homes at Vicarage Gardens will honour the history of the site.
“We have already received a great deal of interest in the new homes being built at Vicarage Gardens.”
The first selection of homes are due to be released for sale this autumn.
