Avant Homes has been given the green light for a new £21m development in Nottinghamshire where it will build 74 new homes.
The 11-acre site, located in the village of Aslockton – 12 miles from Nottingham city centre – will provide a mixture of properties including three, four and five-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes.
Full planning permission has been granted for development with groundworks expected to commence in spring 2017. The first homes will be ready for occupation in September 2017 with the overall build programme due for final completion in 2019.
Avant Homes Midlands managing director, Glyn Mabey, said: “As a business we continue to grow and this development takes the number of new sites we have launched in the first quarter of 2017 to four.
“Our focus is on delivering high quality homes with a difference in desirable locations and the semi-rural setting of Aslockton – only a short commuter drive from Nottingham – makes it a popular location for buyers. The development will offer exceptional quality and design and we are looking forward to works getting underway.”
Avant Homes will contribute approximately £300,000 towards the improvement of local amenities, education provision, sports facilities and transport infrastructure.
Martin Ward, director of East Midlands surveyors Mather Jamie, which advised on the land sale, said; “This development will provide Aslockton with much-needed new homes, which will be in keeping with the area’s surroundings, as part of the local authority’s housing plan. It is in a well-located position off Abbey Lane, within walking distance of the local primary school, railway station and other excellent amenities.”
