Mayor of Bedford, Dave Hodgson, helped to cut the turf and laid some bricks at The Ferns, Kier Living Eastern’s latest Wixams development.
Mr Hodgson praised the “impressive” new development after visiting Wixams to spend time at Kier Living Eastern’s two sites – Marston Place and The Ferns.
The Mayor commented: “Wixams has a real feeling of community, with Lakeview School, the village hall and shops all well placed. There is a high demand for housing in Bedford borough and in Wixams itself, so it’s great to see these impressive new homes being delivered. Wixams is an extremely popular community for families, and no doubt these new homes will help maintain that trend.”
The Ferns is a collection of 43 homes with five different property types to choose from. The properties are laid out to promote both individuality and a close-knit community.
