ToughBuilt‘s commitment to ensuring safer workplaces has been recognised by the trade body for the safety industry, the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF).
The manufacturer of hand tools, jobsite products and PPE received two commendations at the recent Safety & Health Excellence (SHE) Awards, which are held in conjunction with the BSIF.
The company was commended in the BSIF Product Innovation category for its development of the ToughBuilt GelFit Rocker Knee Pads.
ToughBuilt was further commended in the BSIF Safety Solution category. This second commendation was for the development of the ToughBuilt GelFit Rocker Knee Pads and the manufacturer’s on-going efforts to engage, educate and inform UK industry on the need to employ adequate knee protection in the workplace.
This educational activity, which is spearheaded by the company’s #KneelSmartKneelSafe campaign, aims to see knee protection treated with the same importance as other forms of PPE such as hard hats, safety boots and safety googles.
Speaking of the company’s success at the BSIF Safety Awards, Vahe Der Kureghian, Managing Director at ToughBuilt (Europe) said: “We are absolutely delighted to be commended in not one, but two separate categories at the recent BSIF Safety Awards.
