All the homes at a landmark new apartments development in Nine Elms have now been purchased and completed.
Bellway London has built 324 private one, two and three-bedroom apartments at its development off Ponton Road, known as The Residence, on the site of the former Christie’s art warehouse.
The wider scheme, which includes a joint venture development between Bellway and partner developer L&Q, comprises a total of 514 new homes in Nine Elms.
The Residence is the first of Bellway London’s developments in Nine Elms bringing much-needed new homes to the local area and is part of a wider £15 billion regeneration scheme.
The regeneration will involve the creation of around 20,000 new homes, 25,000 new jobs, two new Tube stations, which will shorten journey times to central London, and a linear park.
Sales Director for Bellway London, Emma Hamlett, said: “This is the first of our landmark developments in the Nine Elms regeneration zone and has been a great success story for Bellway London as well as contributing to the wider transformation of the area.
“The apartments that we have built at The Residence have been exceedingly popular with homebuyers and this can be seen by the speed at which they’ve sold out.
“We’ve entered into a joint venture scheme with L&Q as our partners for our second development in Nine Elms, Lexington Gardens at The Residence, and both companies have revelled in building and selling the homes here to what has become a vibrant community of residents.
“The final apartments have now been handed over to our final purchasers at The Residence, where we have already seen community groups forming from our on-site amenities with the residents’ gym and media room available for communal use, supporting neighbours in meeting each other around the development.
“For those who are looking to buy a high-quality home in Nine Elms, we are now building and selling apartments at neighbouring Lexington Gardens, just a little further down Ponton Road.
“Both developments are in a key location with Vauxhall and Battersea Park stations within a mile of home, and two new underground stations due to open at Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station next year which will dramatically improve local travel connections.”
Bellway is building a collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments at its Lexington Gardens development with a choice of two-bedroom designs currently available to reserve priced from £809,000.
