Truelove begins work on new homes in Nettleham

Work has started on The Dalderbys, a new housing development in Nettleham named after a former Bishop of Lincoln.

Lincolnshire construction firm Truelove Property & Construction will build 68 new three-, four- and five-bedroom homes off Scothern Road in Nettleham.

Daniel Charles Construction Ltd has begun work on the access road, which will take six months to complete. The show home on site is expected to open to the public in spring 2020.

Truelove Property ran a competition on Facebook to decide what the development will be called, and the winner was Brynley Heaven from Aslackby near Sleaford. He suggested the name The Dalderbys after Bishop John Dalderby, first Lord of the Manor of Nettleham, who was Bishop of Lincoln from 1300 until his death in 1320.

Sophie Barrett, Sales Manager at Truelove Property & Construction said: “This will be our first site in Nettleham and it’s a fantastic location: a very attractive village setting with lots of amenities yet very close to Lincoln itself.

“Our new homes will be built to a very high spec and finished in the classic, distinct and bespoke Truelove way. There will be a mix of houses and bungalows and we expect the whole development to be highly sought after thanks to its location and to the quality of the build.”

Dan Ingall from Daniel Charles Construction added: “We’re very pleased to be working with Truelove again. It’s always great to partner with local businesses and we’ve worked with Truelove before so we know things are going to go smoothly.

“We’re using state-of-the-art GPS machine control technology on this project which enables us to work more efficiently and to a greater accuracy. This reduces waste and ensures a better quality finish. We are also aiming to recycle excavated material on site which will cut down on transport movements and so reduce the carbon footprint of the development.”
