Weighing 145gsm, Protect A1 Solar is a type HR impermeable roofing underlay that is suitable for unrestricted use in wind uplift zones 1-5 at the maximum batten gauge of 345mm according to BS 5534 standards.
It reduces the risk of condensation forming on the underside of the solar panels, which could otherwise lead to roof timbers rotting. The product’s impermeability and high resistance to water vapour transfer means there is no need for a ventilated counter batten space above the membrane. This feature not only simplifies the installation process but also cuts both labour time and material costs.
