As interest in residential energy storage solutions continues to climb in the UK, GoodWe, a leading solar PV and energy storage solutions manufacturer, has seen uptake for its latest low-voltage lithium battery series increase significantly.
The Lynx Home U Series is a low-voltage lithium battery designed especially for residential applications, helping homeowners to increase self-consumption of solar energy and reduce energy costs. GoodWe’s newest battery range comes as the solar market is soaring, with over 3,000 installations being carried out per week, up from 1,000 a week in July 2020, according to Solar Energy UK.
With plug-and-play functionality thanks to pre-wired communication cables, the Lynx Home U Series makes PV installations fast and simple. A key highlight is that the battery series can be scaled from 5.4 – 32.4 kWh, and with self-detecting modules and a stackable design, it eases the commissioning burden on installers.
Compatible with GoodWe’s ES, EM, and SBP hybrid inverter ranges, the battery can also be used to provide back-up power in the event of a power cut. Alongside this, the Lynx Home U also offers a host of other features, including remote diagnosis and updates, an auto-reboot function should there be an undervoltage, and IP65 protection for outdoor applications.
Eugene Lucarelli, Marketing Manager at GoodWe UK, said: “With the cost of energy continually rising and the energy price cap going up again in April, we’re seeing more and more homeowners turning to solar to stave off the impact.
“The Lynx Home U Series can not only help end users with their cost-of-living difficulties, but at a time where there’s a stretch on capacity, installers can also benefit as the battery is easy to install and commission. The intuitive design and smart features mean we can start to help accelerate the UK’s pathway to Net Zero and start to reduce over-reliance on the grid.”
