Premium housebuilders targeted as Fisher & Paykel launches new black built-in ovens.
Fisher & Paykel has introduced black colourway to their 60cm/24” built-in oven series. Featuring a full glass front in pure black, and a black anodised aluminium dial, handle and trim, the oven has been designed to mix cutting-edge contemporary style with high performance.

At Fisher & Paykel we feel that the introduction of black appliances enables greater opportunity for the premium housebuilder and developer market, to offer a wider design choice for their prospective clients, and certainly a point of difference where we are seeing an increasing demand from the market.”
From a distance, the oven has a minimal look, while up-close there are subtle, layered details and textures. The brushing on the handle and control panel and the fine machining on the dials add an understated sophistication, to make every touchpoint beautiful to use.
The user interface stays almost invisible until you turn the dial, coming to life with understated lighting when the product is in use.
“The black finish allows the appliances to visually recede into the kitchen space, and blend in perfectly,” said Mark Elmore, GM Design, Fisher & Paykel. “The restrained material palette doesn’t compete with other finishes and accents in the overall kitchen design.” Alternatively, it can be intentionally used to provide a contrast, by standing out against a lighter kitchen environment.
The oven has multiple shelves and a total net capacity of 72 litres. The bottom rack is placed as low to the cavity base as possible and the grill element recessed to allow for maximum space. The racking has been tested to take 20kg of weight.
With eleven functions, it is possible to choose from a variety of pre-set temperatures including Roast, Pastry Bake and Fan grill, introducing a sense of ease into the kitchen.
The oven incorporates the CoolTouch door which features triple glazing and a cooling system, ensuring that it is safe to touch from the outside.
Other black products available in the Fisher & Paykel kitchen appliance selection include a French door fridge freezer, a Classic range cooker and DishDrawer.
