Birkdale has expanded its product portfolio by launching a new patented Commercial DuraPost.
Available in a range of lengths from 2.4m up to 5m, Commercial DuraPost is scalable for fencing projects up to 4m above the ground for a hardwearing fencing solution.
Commercial DuraPost is a weather resistant fencing solution durability tested to EN 1794-1-2018 with wind speeds of up to 90mph. Designed to be more substantial than standard concrete or timber posts it is manufactured from cold rolled galvanised steel.
John Abernethie, Managing Director at Birkdale said: “By taking the core performance of our standard product, and developing this further to make it taller and stronger – we can offer the strength and security needed for commercial spaces, or indeed higher residential applications. At the same time, we can contribute positively to site safety, helping to reduce the number of trips to site and the number of contractors required to install a fencing system.”
A 4m Commercial DuraPost weighs 27.5kg. The steel used to manufacture it is 2.5mm thick, compared to the classic DuraPost, which has a thickness of 1.5mm, affording the new product greater strength for larger scale fencing applications.
Commercial DuraPost is available in a galvanised finish as standard, although a powder coated finish is available to order as required.
