Setcrete is offering GP-style video appointments to diagnose flooring issues and recommend treatments. The virtual consultations, using popular video platforms including WhatsApp, FaceTime and Skype, enable Setcrete’s technical team to assess a flooring issue in real time and advise on remedial work and products to use.
Developed to replace actual site visits during lockdown, the video consultations supplement additional technical support offered to builders and merchants relating to flooring problems and the company’s range of floor levelling compounds and other floor preparations products. This additional support includes a telephone technical help desk and email support, operated during normal office hours, as well as online technical support via the Setcrete website.
Additionally, in person site visits are still being arranged, where a telephone or video call isn’t able to provide Setcrete technical experts with enough information to confidently assess the situation.
Commenting on the success of the virtual consultations, Setcrete Brand Manager Peter Wilson said: “While the remote video consultations were brought in out of necessity, builders have found them tremendously useful to get an instant response to a flooring issue or get advice on which products are best for a particular situation. Armed with that knowledge, they can then head straight to their local merchants and pick up the products they need for a successful installation.”
