Ruth Cadbury MP visited WestSide in Brentford, where new homes developer Bellway North London is helping to develop the ‘Golden Mile’ as part of the areas regeneration.
Representatives from Bellway welcomed the MP for Brentford and Isleworth and Mehban Chowdery of the NHBC to WestSide, giving them a private tour of the show home and the development.
WestSide comprises one, two and three bedroom apartments as well as three and four bedroom duplexes. It is part of a comprehensive redevelopment of the former derelict Alfa Laval complex on the corner of Great West Road and Ealing Road. Built to Code for Sustainable Homes, Level 3 with 20 per cent reduction in carbon emissions from renewable sources, the 137 apartments are available in a wide selection of layouts, arranged over three apartment buildings.
Ruth Cadbury MP commented: “I was delighted to visit Bellway’s WestSide development on the former Alfa Laval site in Brentford. They are building high quality homes which we are in desperate need of locally. This development is a great example of transforming former derelict sites into the new homes that we need. It was also good to visit long-standing Brentford resident, Kay. She had decided to downsize but stay local and is happy in her bright new apartment.”
Managing Director for Bellway Homes North London, Stuart Wallace noted: “With the recent introduction of Help to Buy London the last release of apartments at Westside have been snapped up and there are now only two spacious three bedroom apartments for sale including two parking spaces and large terrace. The remaining apartments offer more value for your money thanks to plenty of floor space for a great price. We are very pleased to have an excellent working relationship with the London Borough of Hounslow, which has been a major factor in the successful delivery of WestSide and look forward to continuing this constructive approach at our forthcoming development in Old Isleworth. We would like to thank Ruth Cadbury for visiting WestSide to find out more about the work we are doing within her constituency and also Mehban Chowdery of the NHBC for joining us.”
NHBC Regional Director for London, Mehban Chowdery, added: “As the UK’s leading insurance and warranty provider of new homes, NHBC works closely with housebuilders to support the delivery of high quality homes. We also work with Parliamentarians to develop and promote good housing policy. It was a pleasure to meet Ruth and show her first-hand how we are helping builders construct high quality new homes of all types in Brentford and across London.”
